Promotional description

This workshop will cover a real-life four-year journey as an organisation implements what ends up being nationally award-winning workplace design. Attendees will be taken behind the scenes of the project, examining what it really takes to create a workplace that employees love. Libby will share what went right and what didn’t, starting from the day she landed in Darwin to meet the team and plan how they would turn a huge rusty old trades hall into an open-plan workplace that actually worked. How do you create a workspace that encourages greater communication across teams, enhances problem-solving, but doesn’t have employees running for the exit covering the ears because of the noise?

As well as the plans, trials and nice pictures at the end, Libby will share the results of the research study conducted across the life of the project and what the empirical findings showed. Is it possible to create an open-plan workplace that people love? Join this workshop to get a rare insight that covers both the empirical research and the step-by-step practical process of creating a multi-million dollar new workspace. This session will take an experiential approach with attendees invited to bring their own workspace design challenges to workshop with Libby.
