Presentation type

Descriptions

PechaKucha

This Japanese style of delivery was created to ‘show more, talk less’ and presenters are encouraged to use images and graphics rather than words in their accompanying presentation.
Presenters are meant to be fun and high in energy as presenters stick to short time limits.

Rapid research

The presenter's goal is to present their research succinctly and clearly in a dynamic style that engages the audience with the research topic.

Symposium

Presentation of multiple papers around a central theme or topic hosted by a moderator.

Ideas for change

"Ideas for change" present a great, well-informed idea. This could be something that’s new and surprising; an idea or invention that you have never heard about, or a great basic idea (that you have maybe already heard) with a compelling new argument behind it that challenges beliefs and perspectives.

Workshop

A workshop is where presenters engage with participants in activities to explain a new approach and/or teach new skills or abilities. This may include simulated activities or group-based tasks.

Psych-in-3

Psych-in-3 has students, HDR candidates or recent graduates, present a highly succinct and engaging presentation strictly timed to 3 minutes. This provides attendees with a snapshot of their thesis.

On completion, the audience will vote for their favourite presenter and award the winner!
