Promotional description

Put Nature to Work workshop highlights the benefits of high levels of employee/nature engagement in improving workplace outcomes. This workshop offers practical suggestions for practitioner self-care, coaching in nature, and incorporating nature into wellbeing interventions when working with individual clients, teams, leaders, and organisations. Content will cover evidence on the benefits of engagement with the natural environment and information about the types of environments and experiences which are likely to contribute to the largest wellbeing gains. Other factors that contribute to getting the most out of nature will also be discussed, i.e. connection and engagement with nature, exercise in nature, and social contact in natural environments. This interactive and experiential workshop will focus on integrating this knowledge into evidence-based self-care, coaching, leadership, and organisational wellbeing interventions.

Learning outcomes

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Articulate the practical nature-based activities shown in the research to contribute to wellbeing at work and home
2. Apply relevant models and research underpinning nature-based activities to employee wellbeing, coaching, leadership and organisational wellbeing interventions
3. Complete an Action Plan committed to implementing a number of practical nature-based activities shown to contribute to wellbeing
