Dolores Mosquera is a psychologist specializing in complex trauma, personality disorders, and dissociation. She is the director of the Institute for the Study of Trauma and Personality Disorders in Spain. Dolores has extensive teaching internationally. She has published several books, book chapters and articles trauma-related disorders. Dolores received the David Servan-Schreiber award for outstanding contributions to the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) field in 2017, was made Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation in 2018, for her contributions to the trauma and dissociation field, and received the MAM10 Prix David Servan-Schreiber award in 2021 to a foreign researcher who has made a notable international contribution, having advanced research in the field of EMDR. In 2022 Dolores received the award Professional of the Year in the category of Psychology for the trajectory and significant contributions in dignifying the profession (psychology).

Dr Lou Cooper (she/they) is a Counselling Psychologist and Emotion Focused Therapist, Supervisor and Lead Trainer at the Australian Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy (AIEFT) based in Naarm/Melbourne. .Lou is an active and accredited member of the International Society of Emotion Focused Therapy (ISEFT). They present and facilitate in Australia and overseas on EFT and LGBTQ+ inclusive practice. Lou is the host of the Emotion Focused Podcast and appears regularly as a guest on ABC Radio talking about emotions.

A proud Jaru, Bunuba and Wakaya woman (Kimberley, Western Australia), born and raised on the lands of the Kalkadoon people – Mount Isa, Queensland. Tanja is a clinical psychologist and mid-career researcher with expertise in mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, suicide prevention and working with persons impacted by trauma, and workplaces who are bringing cultural and clinical knowledges together. She brings a combination of academic research, corporate expertise and clinical experience working with remote, regional communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing to her Board roles at Thirrili, the Australian Indigenous Psychologist Association and the Black Dog Institute. She is an advocate for increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing practitioners in Australia, as well as for upskilling mainstream organisations with an understanding of how to provide culturally appropriate social and emotional wellbeing care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals.

Tanja is the Director of Wellbeing for ABSTARR Consulting and supported (with a team) the development of and leads an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander EAP service . She has contributed to the development and delivery of culturally appropriate training and interventions for people impacted by systemic racism and trauma for the Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance Northern Territory (AMSANT), and worked with Centre for Remote Health (CRH) as the mental health academic for several years. Tanja is a member of several research projects and is also a member of the Healing the Past, Nurturing the Future research team at the University of Melbourne and supports research for The Centre of Best Practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention (CBPATSISP).

Lawrie graduated from Edinburgh University, was employed as a probationary psychologist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and then returned to Australia to study clinical psychology. After completing a clinical psychology degree, he worked at Bouverie Clinic before joining the Family Court of Australia and becoming Victorian Director of Family Court Counselling. Lawrie then spent three years in student services at Swinburne before joining La Trobe University as a lecturer in counselling psychology, where he became Head of the Department of Counselling and Psychotherapy. He left La Trobe after 20 years for a position as Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Family Studies. Lawrie has published widely and has a special interest in policies and processes that promote child and family welfare in the context of parental separation. He has also had a long-standing interest in research into what ‘works’ in counselling and psychotherapy.
