Spreading the word - better educating the community about Clinical Neuropsychology.

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Summary

Clinical Neuropsychology has the potential to benefit diagnosis and treatment of many Australians. Despite this, general understanding of the benefits of Clinical Neuropsychology is limited. By not including Clinical Neuropsychology services in treatment and care plans, the vast network of institutions, professionals and individuals that contribute to this work are not supporting patients as effectively and efficiently as possible. This includes government institutions that determine which services can access public funding. Making the case for Clinical-Neuropsychology is a complex process that is more important now than ever. The College is committed to advancing this work. At its heart, this begins with every member of your College speaking with one voice, and working together to explain and promote the benefits of your work. This session outlines some of the planning work already completed by the College in partnership with presenter and strategic communications professional Duncan McGauchie - as well as the vital role each individual College member can play in supporting this work.
